President's Message

You are the "Rescuer" at the Boston Rescue Mission!

How can the Mission continue to transform lives without its "Rescuers"? We are so thankful for you and your support of this Mission. Because of God's provision through you, for the last 110 years we have been able to rescue thousands of women and men who are hungry, homeless and hurting.

John Samaan

Women and men come to the  Mission after they hit "rock  bottom", that moment when all  the problems and stress in their  lives overwhelm them  completely. Their lives have been  devastated by alcohol and drug  abuse, incarcerations and other  destructive habits. Their lives  become one big tangled mess.  There's no time to stop and think.

As we approach the Thanksgiving  season here at Boston Rescue  Mission, my heart is filled with  gratitude to have rescuers such  as you. The work of rescue can't  move forward without you. Your  compassion has helped to move  people from despair to hope. You have helped to transform lives at risk, like Heather's and Mike's.

Your support provides food for the body, God's presence for the soul, and one-on-one guidance to help our guests return to society and live as law-abiding, tax-paying citizens.

So I'm passing on their gratitude to you. How could we carry on this work of rescue without your faithful support? It simply would not be possible. Together we provide continuous services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is only possible because you make it possible.

On behalf of those in need this Thanksgiving we wish you a blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones.

Thank you again for your compassion, and may God bless you!

Blessings!
