The purpose of the Community Care Fellowship Program is to build community within the structures of the Post-Detox, Re-Entry, and Life-Growth Communities at the Boston Rescue Mission. We promote this by allowing interested, motivated students to enroll in a live-in internship program, in which students would integrate their relationships with Christ into everyday life at the Boston Rescue Mission.

This may occur in a variety of ways:
- client escorts
- bible study leadership
- extra-curricular supervision (i.e. softball/basketball/walks)
- Chapel Service set-up
- Overflow Shelter supervision
- Fresh Start class facilitation
- Informal time with residents
- AA meeting escorts
- Other creative ideas

Preferable lengths of commitment range from 6 months to 12 months. We desire this length of commitment because it affords Fellows opportunities to build community through developing gospel-driven relationships with clients of the Boston Rescue Mission. We believe these relationships to be integral in the fostering of life transformation as well as in the advancement of God's Kingdom to the poor and homeless communities of the city. Interested candidates should be prepared for an intensive screening process, including a basic application, interview, and preliminary on-site visit.
As part of the application process, interested candidates should be prepared to answer the following questions in paragraph form:
- What calling do you feel to be at the Boston Rescue Mission?
- Are there events that have informed this calling?
- How do your gifts and passions influence this calling?
- Describe your faith.
- What are your biggest strengths?
- What are your biggest weaknesses?
- What is your biggest struggle?
- What scripture has had a prominent impact in your life? How? Why?
