Group Volunteer Opportunities at the BRM

We are delighted when a group decides to share their volunteer experience at the Boston Rescue Mission. Whether the group is from a school, church, corporation, or any type of organization, volunteering together is an excellent bonding experience. Many group leaders have commented that their group's experience has contributed to improved communication and teamwork within their usual setting.

We do have some limitations as to the size of the group that we are able to utilize as volunteers.  We ask that the group leader submit an application and contact our Volunteer Coordinator to schedule a time for their group. Depending on the time of year, it may take several weeks of notice to find a time when the Mission can accommodate the entire group.  Feel free to download a more extensive list of guidelines for volunteering in our volunteer handbook.

If your group has specific talents that you would like to share at the Mission please discuss this with our Volunteer Coordinator at 617-338-9000 ext. 1244 or email volunteer@brm.org.

The following is a list of some of the activities performed by volunteer groups:

  • Weekday meal service at 3pm
  • Saturday morning outreach
  • Sunday community meal
  • Prayer support
  • Maintenance projects

  •
